HOW TO RESTRICT FSG ON RESPONSIBILITY / RESPONSIBILITY BASED RESTRICTION ON FSG

Goal How to enable security for FSG so only authorized responsibilities can run authorized FSG Reports. Currently if a user has function to run FSG he can run all the FSGs. We only want to allow him 1 FSG and want to hide all others. In the Following screen shot you can see that all the FSG Reports are available to be run from this responsibility. I just want to give this responsibility, access of single FSG Monthly Balance Sheet.

Solution: Resp. General Ledger Super User 1. Navigate to Setup : Financials : Definition Access Sets > Define Following form will appear. Enter any Name in Define Access Set field and save. Create two set here one name SS and 2nd ALL.

On this form if you will do Ctrl+F11 then you will see a Set name Super User Definition Access Set, which is created by Default.

Resp. General Ledger Super User 2. Navigate to Setup : Financials : Definition Access Sets > Assign Query the Responsibility to which you want to assign Restricted Access Set. Open the LOV attached to Definition Access Sets Field and select the Access Set created in Step.1. (e.g SS)

Enter the Data Access Set created and tick the needed privileges: Use, View , Modify. Now save. Check the Use and View Boxes.

Resp. General Ledger Super User 3. Navigate to Reports : Define > Report Ctrl+F11 and you will see all the FSGs. Here you can see Enable Security Check box is not Checked. This means this FSG will be available to everyone.

Check the Enable Security box and then Click the Assign Access Button Following window will appear. Select the Definition Access Set (SS) from the LOV and Check the Use and View Check Boxes and OK and Save. We will Only assign
