Paripalan Young Citizen Empowerment Workshop

Paripalan is an initiative taken up Parinamika, a national level youth organization, with the sole aim of engaging young minds in shaping public policy and in ensuring highly engaging governments in the future. Paripalan wishes to empower Young India to shape its own future. India is estimated to have the highest percentage of young people in the world. This is our nations strength and must be harnessed to the fullest extent possible in shaping a better future for ourselves! Paripalan wishes to channel the aspirations of Young India, develop constructive solutions and herald change in the various systems that we collectively call India. As part of our program to engage Young India with India, we are undertaking Young Citizen Empowerment Workshop in all major colleges in our network. These workshops are aimed at engaging your students and empowering them with the tools to make a positive difference in our society. It wishes to make more students more active and be engaged in governance thus making India truly democratic. These programs will be certified by Mr. Jayaprakash Narayan, Founder President, Loksatta Party. Engagement Plan for Workshop The entire program is planned to engage with your students on one day of each month (preferably weekend) over a 4 month period. On these days, the students will be spoken to by our Team Members, Various Eminent Social Activists and Practical Engagement with governance will be incorporated into the program. The basic outline of the program may be found as under: Stage of Program Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4 Level 5 Theme Necessity of Active Youth Citizenship; Ideation on Common Issues faced by society Tools for Active Citizenship RTI, Voting, Public Speaking Social Awareness Survey; Opinion Seeking; Empowerment of local community Engaging Local Leaders, Representatives, Ministers, and Bureaucrats for social issues.
