    Republican Board of Education Accomplishments: 1.

    Negotiated New Contracts with all labor groups keeping salaries and benefits reasonable. 2. Updated Enfield school curriculum and new textbooks and technology for teachers and students; Using Capitol Improvement Projects (CIP) and BOE budgeted funds we spent over $500,000. 3. Worked with Town IT Department to make substantial upgrades to aging IT infrastructure: K-6 classrooms - Interactive White Boards and Student/ Teacher Interactive Response Pilot Program in 6th Grade using HP Laptop computers. 4. Continue to televise BOE meetings on E-TV to keep residents informed. 5. Continue to offer quality education, while keeping the annual budget flat for the last three years. Thus considering the tax burden on Enfield residents but supporting our students and teachers. 6. Budget Accountability implemented the Munis accounting program. 7. Improved Enfields overall educational standings with higher test scores. 8. Continue to update school district policies to reflect current needs. 9. Working on the Consolidation of High Schools to maintain programs and reorganization, while focusing on a 21st Century education. 10. Held Multiple Community Conversations for Elementary/Middle School consolidation and reorganization. 11. Planning the implementation of the Gifted and Talented Program (TAG) for 2012-2013. 12. Balanced classroom sizes in K-6. Consolidated and reorganized: Pre-K- 2, Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8 configuration.
