    Introduction The purpose of this report is to inform about czech radios focusing on the alternative music scene and give some more detailed information about them. Radio 1 Radio 1, established in 1991, is the oldest private radio station in the Czech Republic. The programme maps wide spectrum of music guitar records on one side and trip-hop, ambient and electronic music on the other, including internationally-renowned artists as well as czech musicians. It includes large number of commented music shows, but also live shows focused on literature or film. Radio 1 broadcasts live reports from cultural events and playback records of live performances as well . The broadcast is availible at 91.1 FM in Prague and the region of central Bohemia or as a live stream on the internet. Radio Wave Radio Wave belongs to Czech Radio (the national radio) as a substation aimed at young generation. The programme maps the alternative scene and besides the music Radio Wave offers many shows on various topics such as science, new technologies or journalism. As for advertisments, there is only one commercial per hour. The broadcast is availible nationwide, but only digitally or within a cable TV and over the internet. Conclusion Both of the radios mentioned above aim mainly at the same viewership, so the decision isn't made easily. If it is more journalism what you're looking for, I would recommend Radio Wave to you. But generally I would recommend Radio 1, mainly because of its tradition on the music scene and the cultural influence it has.
