WHEREAS, The use of cars running purely on fossil fuels is drastically increasing our
dependence on

A Bill to authorize funding for Drug Gourts

SECTION 1. Funding for drug courts will be authorized in the following amounts:

$125,000,000 for fiscal Year 2013 $150,000,000 for fiscal Year 20i3 $200,000,000 for frscalyear 2014 $250,000,000 for each of fiscalyears 2015 through 2018.

SECTION 2. Drug courts will retain judicial power over offenders with substanct abuse
problems.

SECTION 3. Drug courts will retain the power to sentence offenders to substance abuse
treatment, mandatory periodic testing for drug use, and fines relating to both the cost of treatment and any damages.

SECTION 4. This law will go into effect May 7,2012' SECTION 5.

A Resolution to Protect Funding for the Pell Grant


WHEREAS, the Pell Grant constitutes
and the backbone of many students' financial aid;

7 WHEREAS, due to the economic recession, more students meet the criteria to apply for Pell Grants;and 8 9 WHEREAS, the cuts made to the Pell Grant have decreased the number of students who can receive the grants; and l0 l1 WHEREAS, the cuts have greatly diminished the amount of aid given to students 12 already receiving the grant; and l3 WHEREAS, without this grant many students would be unable to attend college for financial reasons, and now, therefore, be it 14 15 RESOLVED, By the Congress here assembled that funding for the Pell Grant be returned to 2008 levels. 1,6

A Resolution To Declare A Palestinian State

Palestinian Authority desen,e the right to self-determination and statehood; and,

WHEREAS, There have been no meaningful discussions betseen the PA and thr' si:rte of
Israel for the past four ,vears: and

WHEREAS, History has shown that mounting tensions betu'een tire Jewish State and the
people of Palestine worsens U.S.-Arab relations uoridwide; and

WHEREAS, The United Nations recognized Israel in 1949 and authorized its creation
from lands formerly knon'n as Palestine; and

WHEREAS, a fbrmal request to the UN for statehood recognition has been ma.1e lr1 the
PA and is pending action
