28.2% of 8th graders have had sexual intercourse 10% of 8th graders have tried to kill themselves 18.4% of 6th graders have missed school in the past 12 months because they felt unsafe at school or on their way to/from school 13.9% of middle grades students have been afraid of being beaten up at school in the past 12 months 14.2% of middle grades students have had a drink of alcohol (more than a few sips) in the past 30 days 15% of middle grades students were in a gang or crew in the past 12 months
