Celebrating the beauty and power of poetry, Poetry Africa in Zimbabwe is a satellite programme of the Poetry Africa festival hosted by the Centre for Creative Arts (University of KwaZulu-Natal) in Durban, South Africa. A core focus of the festival is the development of dialogue and exchange between countries and cultures, Africa in particular. The Zim programme is part of the Poetry Africa tour which also travels to Malawi, Joburg and Cape Town, before culminating at the main festival in Durban between 17-22 October. See www.cca.ukzn.ac.za for poet biographies and festival details.
