Tests are on Fridays. This weeks words are: all call fall wall ball tall on not so of Sight Words We make word cards each week in class which are sent home in the Friday Folder. Please accumulate these cards in the Sight Word Box and review them regularly. The new words are: buy that very where

What we are learning In Reading-The story this week is All That Corn. It is a nonfiction selection that follows a corn crop from field to grocery store. The phonics skill is the all word family. The comprehension focus will continue to be the story sequence. In Writing-We are reviewing handwriting skills by practicing the formation of each letter. This week we will cover lower case letters that have a part that goes under the water. That is, a part of the letter is formed under the bottom line; g, j, p, q, and y. When having your child write, please remind him/her to start from the top and use as few strokes as possible for each letter. In Math-We are wrapping up unit 1, Addition Concepts, and moving in to unit 2, Subtraction Concepts. Science- We are still reviewing the five senses. Ask your child to sing the song for you.

Our Calendar *Fri., Oct. 21-Field Trip to Coon Hollow Corn Maze. It is a really fun and educational event. *Fri., Oct.28-No School! Teacher Workday. *Mon., Oct. 31-Halloween! Kids may dress in costume. No scary or violent characters, please. We will have a craft party from1:002:00. Come join the fun.
SNACK SCHEDULE-PLEASE SEND IN HEALTHY SNACKS FOR 21 CHILDREN AND 2 ADULTS.

*Paper homework is due each Thursday. Please do homework in pencil. Encourage your child to do his/her best. *Please get the permission slip and money for the Coon Hollow Field Trip in as soon as possible.
