Ben Rosner Careers In Media 9/19/2011 Personal Career Assessment 1. Im a runner. Im intelligent. Im open-minded. Im optimistic. Im perseverant.

I love music more than any other type of media. I lack organizational skills. I think things through before completing a task. Im shy. Id rather work solo than in a group. 2. I love to go to concerts. I love listening to music. I love going to the movies. I love roller coasters and theme parks. I love computers and video games. My favorite class is English. 3. Im good at remembering facts. Im a good writer. Im good at editing papers. Im good with auditory processing (remembering songs when they come onto the radio, remembering lyrics to songs, etc.) Im a good speller. 4. The most important things to me are my family and friends. Those two things stand beyond all others. I also value my well being. I also value my life just in general. 5. AEC 6. I am most proud of my amazing memorization and intellectual skills. While I dont believe in bragging, I do believe that I am very smart and can memorize facts and ideas very quickly. I am also proud that I got a 28 composite score on the ACTs. 7. My long-term goals are to transfer to a regular four year college for the 20122013 school year. I hope to graduate with at least a 3.2 GPA. Following college, I hope to either work as a music journalist or as a concert promoter. 8. The biggest obstacle I see standing in my way is my disability. I have dysgraphia, which makes my handwriting illegible. I also have problems with fine motor skills. Thankfully, we live in a digital age and most work is done on computers. 9. My plan for accomplishing my goals is to try as hard as possible at college and to learn as many new skills as possible. If a career in music journalism doesnt work out, I hope to be a concert promoter.
