ll Christians believe that their great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, will one day return. Although we cannot know the exact time of his return, what exactly did Jesus mean when he spoke of the signs of his coming (Matthew 24)? How are we to interpret the prophecies in Isaiah regarding the time when the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9)? Should we expect a time of great tribulation or reformation and revival before the Lord returns? Many of us struggle to understand the Book of Revelation, and yet, it was written to be a blessing for Gods people (Revelation 1:3). So how do we approach this inspired prophetic book? Did you know that there are four hermeneutical approaches to the apocalyptic books of Daniel and Revelation? In what way do these approaches affect our interpretation of the thousand years of Revelation 20? Is the devil bound now, and are the saints reigning with Christ? What is meant to be a blessing for the body of Christ has turned into a source of division. Is there a biblical basis for dividing over this issue? How can the Church be united in our differences? These, and many more questions, are dealt with by the four authors in The Four Keys to the Millennium. The editor, Michael Meiring, also makes an analysis of the four essays, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each view. It concludes with an application to the believers life. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thes. 5:23)
