The Cask Amontillado

The book tells a story of how Montresor; the main character, explains how he murder his friend 50 years ago. The story takes place in Italy on the 18th century during the Carnival. Montresor ask Fortunato to go with him to the cellars of the latters Palazzo to drink some wine, he wanted his friends expert opinion about the subject, Fortunato had a little suspect but he was drunk an dizzy, so they continue all the way through the catacombs, Montresor tells him that the Amontillado is inside the niche so when Fortunato enter, Montresor chains him to the wall, he wanted to take revenge because he insults him somehow. Fortunato claim s but Montresor laugh knowing nobody can hear them, and burring his friend alive, he left him died and after 50 years he was never caught and Fortunatos body stills chain in the same place where he left him. At the end Montresor, who was the murder in the story seems to regret what he have done saying May he rest in peace.

Personal Opinion I think that Montresor should think it better before he chooses murdering a person; instead he should talk with Fortunate and resolved their problems without any physical aggression.
