Statement of Intent

Charlie Minnion

I intend to work as a freelancer across projects as a concept artist, environment/background artist and compositor. (I can also do layouts and storyboarding if required.) I would like to develop a good style for animation as well as have a crack at photo realism for Vfx. Im hoping to learn Nuke throughout the year out of interest for the software. I have recently bought a Digital Matte painting handbook which I intend to work through and keep up some real painting and sketching going in my spare time. I have spoken to Tom Gameson about doing the backgrounds for his 2D animation project. I have spoken to Ryan about doing concept art, compositing and matte painting for him. I have spoken to Olly about doing concept art for him. Currently Im working on compositing together an animated film for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) film competition that Im working on with a friend. The deadline is late October so I will be juggling this with university related work.
