    1. Due Dates Project Seminars are due during the Semester your team may nominate your preferred date The Project Report is due at 2:00 PM on the Day of the Lecture in Week 11 Thursday, 20 October 2011 2. Theme Theme for this Semester is: Headline: University Team Plans ........................................ NBN
    Read the news item about Malcolm Turnbull and his plan for a faster, scaled-back NBN. Now it is your turn! Your team will develop a superior plan for a National Broadband Network. You may make it faster, or cheaper, or smaller, or shinier, or more mobile. You may include specific applications like video, movies, radio, or music. You may propose the network for Australia, or for another country. You should include, as far as possible ALL people of the country.

    3. Your Challenge
    The aim of the project is to demonstrate that you have mastered the field of Broadband Access Networks well enough to complete a Professional Project. Your first step is to choose a suitable topic within the general theme. You must define the customer requirements, indicate how your chosen solution works, and demonstrate the VALUE of your solution. You will need to demonstrate your independent learning skills by investigating the chosen topic in some depth. I recommend you begin with a search on the Internet there you will find much of the material you need, or references to it. For your guidance there is a presentation in the Assignment Guidelines about Searching the Web. Check the general guidelines about the Report and the Seminar they contain important information that will help you to score more marks without wasting time and effort! Also make sure you understand your personal accountability to meet the required standards of Academic Honesty. Any failure to meet standards, even by mistake, can be disastrous for you and possibly your whole team.
