RELATED LEARNING EXPERIENCE My name is Maria Dulce Corazon R.

Manuel, 4th year student taking Bachelor in Science Information System at Southern City Colleges. In partial fulfillment of this degree, I am required to have on the job training for the minimum of 400 hours. Our Dean asked us what agency we want to have our OJT. The first thought that came into my mind was DOLE. She asked us to make our resume and application letter and submit it to the said agency. Thank God they accepted us with warm welcome. Ms. Elsa Tan introduced us to Regional Director Ponciano M. Ligutom and other staff so to be familiar with their faces and their names. I have never really taken into consideration the type of learning experience that I practice way back when I was in Nursing. Primarily because IS student is believed to be able to work in a group environment, be able to come up with a specific program, become personally involved with the staff of the agency and to work along with the side of programmer, technician and computer analyst facilitators. During my first and second week of duty I manually recorded all the name of establishments and compile everything according to its year and places after doing so, I encode all those names and paste it on the envelops for the year of 2011. All the files for 2010 shall put inside the haversacks. Im still waiting for further instruction from Miraflor Casanes for further instruction. Since she was not aaround during the second week assested few of the staff I would describe myself as visually motivated learner. Working with people with different types of positions, I learned how to look at a situation from many different perspectives instead of looking for one solution to a situation. This helped me identify my true learning style. At times student s do refused and to ask because of fear that they might rebuked and certainly disagree with that primarily questions are the basic process of learning and to communicate , that is the chain of understanding that integrates the member of an organization from top to bottom, bottom to top. I also learned that listening attentively plays an important role with regards to instruction given and communicate without fear but respect. Many of the problems may occur in an organization are the either the direct result of people failing to communicate which lead to confusion and can cause good plans to fail.
