To enable users enjoy the advantages oI using IP networks together with the DECT
technology, Aastra has developed radio Iixed parts (RFP) with IP interIaces Ior
integrating DECT into IP networks. These radio Iixed parts (RFP) are connected to the
network like IP terminals. Voice is conveyed via VoIP to the radio Iixed part and Irom
the RFP to the air via DECT.
ThereIore, employees can always be reached via their call numbers, regardless oI whether
they are in a branch oI the company or at the head oIIice. Using the same IP connections
Ior data and telephony saves additional inIrastructure and, thus, costs.
No matter the size and range oI the IP network, a single Open Mobility Manager (OMM)
is enough to manage all RFPs oI the multi-cellular DECT network.
The base stations RFP L42 WLAN and RFP 42 WLAN allow the integration oI mobile
data transmission via WLAN in parallel using the same network. Central administration
oI the DECT and WLAN network available via a browser interIace.

Indoor and outdoor RFPs are used to set up a DECT radio network over the entire
company premises. The indoor variant RFP 32 has an integrated omni-directional
antenna, while the outdoor RFP 34 has external ones. Each radio Iixed part works
Ilexibly with 12 oI 120* the available radio channels and guarantees suIIicient call
capacity.
