Proposal to findout Sales Decline of Selsun Blue Moisturizing Treatment Abbot t Pakistan
Problem Statement:
Abbott a global, broad-based health care company devoted to discovering new medicines, new technologies and new ways to manage health. Abbott Pakistan is part of the global healthcare corporation of Abbott Laboratories, Chicago, USA. Recently Abbott has taken a decision to promote Selsun blue an anti dandruff shampoo in existence since 25 years already positioned as medicated product to a consumer daily use product in the form of Selsun blue moisturizing treatment along with medicated products still in existence. Abbott is currently experiencing decline in sales of Selsun Blue product range specifically with reference to Selsun Blue Moisturizing treatment. The reason is unknown to the management and therefore they desires to find out all the reasons behind decline in sales.

Research statement:
The purpose of this research is to discover all the reasons behind declining sales of Selsun Blue range products specifically Selsun Blue Moisturizing Treatment. Intial findings are that Selsun Blue medicated anti dandruff shampoo was also suffering declining sales from past few years.

Findings will help management to plan better strategies to raise sale levels of Selsun Blue Moisturizing Treatment

Research Design:
Exploration qualitative:
We will enhance our knowledge of Abbott Pakistan by interviewing sales heads of Abbott Pakistan to find out past trends in sales of Selsun range of products specifically earlier products i.e. medicated Selsun shampoos.

Questionnaire design:
Most of the questions would be close ended to make questionnaire hassle free for participants while some of the questions will be open ended to find out different reasons of not being using Selsun Blue Moisturizing treatment at individual level and also to gather finding what kind of benefits user are looking for in order to gauge Selsun Blue Moisturizing treatment with the need of users.
