she learnt Physics and mathematics at a university called Sorbonne.

And then she became the first female teacher there. There she met Pierre Curie and they married. She had two daughters.

Marie and her husband discovered Radium and Polonium. They made a study of radioactive material (uranium ore). They discovered uranium ore is more radioactive than the uranium.

Marie was awarded with Nobel Prize for Radium and Polonium in 1911. Then she was awarded with second Nobel Prize for her extra activity. She was founded Radium Institute in Paris and Warsaw. Thus Marie became the first scientist with two Nobel Prizes.

During World War One Curie helped to equip ambulances with x-ray equipment, which she herself drove to the front lines. Marie died of leucaemia from radioactivity in 1934, 4 July.

I am fill with admiration because Marie always wanted to new things. And she always was helpful to society. Her finding aren t patented for easier using. The money which sent for her finding she shared with her students.

Marie Curie was an outstanding personality. She was very selfless and purposeful person. Today we can fill with admiration to her.
