Dear ___________________________, Welcome to kindergarten! My name is Ms. Amoedo and I will be your teacher this year. Mrs. Carbone and I look forward to meeting you. Together we will have an exciting year. We Will learn about friendship, sharing, money, and much more. You will learn to read and write, add and subtract, and be a lifelong learner. I am excited to meet you and start this great journey together. There are a few things that you will need for this class. Please show this letter to mom and dad so that they can help you shop for your school supplies. You will need the following items:

1 (one) Primary Journal Notebook (stage 3) from MEAD 2 (two) boxes of DIXON Ticonderoga Beginners Wood Pencil w/Eraser (sharpened) 2 (two) extra large erasers 1 (one) zippered pencil case 2 (two) boxes of the JUMBO Crayola 8-Pack Crayons 4 (four) black dry erase markers 1 (one) plastic folder 1 (one) box of baby wipes 2 (two) packs of assorted construction paper 2 (two) ELMERS glue sticks
Please do not alter the list and do not bring supplies that are not on the list. The most important item on the list is the Primary Journal by MEAD. The picture is below. Please bring your school supplies in no later than Friday September 9th, 2011. Please remember that this year school begins at 7:30 PM and will end at 3:45 PM please meet me in the back yard everyday 10 minutes prior to school starting, and meet 10 minutes prior to dismissal.
