Artwork featuring interior rooms. Experiment with themes of closure/openness, light/dark. Where does the subject stand within the "room" of an artwork? Feel free to play with the perception of immediate objects enclosed in an area.

Rooms

Various types of media are encouraged, including drawings paintings, sculpture, and sound!
Send your submissions to: Pieces must be sent 14 days prior to the exhibition dates. Include a 50-200 word artist's statement about the piece's relation to the show, and a short summary about yourself.

Static Energy
A formal challenge aimed at defying the stillness and spatial limitations of two-dimensional visual media. The goal is to achieve a highly dynamic, energetic effect without the use of mechanics or video. Energy may or may not the subject of the piece.
