Physicians in Hebron reattach the severed hand of a Palestinian worker

Hebron - Ma'an - Palestinian physicians at the government hospital in Hebron, in the southern West Bank, conducted what has been described as a unique surgical operation. The physicians were able to reattach a Palestinian worker's hand after it was severed by an electronic cutting machine.

The hand was replanted and all bones, nerves and blood vessels were reattached. The main physician who operated on the hand was Khalid Abu Ajamiyya. The operation lasted 12 hours. Source: http://www.maannews.net/eng/ViewDetails.aspx?ID=196943
