COURSE SYLLABUS
INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS
The Moodle 2 Admin course is designed to introduce site administrators to the administrative functions of the Moodle 2 course environment. At the end of this course, participants will know how to: Navigate the Moodle environment. Manage users and user roles. Create a course shell with knowledge of all course variables. Manage course administration settings (backup/restore/import). Manage plugins. Customize layout and themes. Manage site security.

NEEDS AND RESOURCES

Required Background To successfully complete this course, participants must: Be able to use basic functions of a PC. Be able to navigate a website. Understand the organizational goals or philosophy that Moodle is being used to address.

Required Materials To successfully complete this course, participants will need: Access to a Moodle environment with the role of administrator. Access to Remote-Learner training course. A personal computer with Internet access.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

General Rules Course is provided on a Remote-Learner hosted Moodle 2 platform. Post course support is provided by the delivering trainer. Users have access to the Admin course and sandbox site for one month.
