JUSTICE The novel that I have chosen is The Boscombe Valley Mystery.

One of the themes in the story is justice. The theme is portrayed through what some of the characters have gone through. For example, James McCarthy was accused of a crime that he did not commit. He was sent to prison and his reputation had been tarnished. Even worse, everybody thought he was guilty, including his wife, the barmaid. However, through Mr. Holmes careful investigation, the real murderer was finally found and James was set free. Thus, justice had been well served.
