NaClO + NaSO NaSO + NaCl Solution B = NaSO Formula used to find the starting temperature: {(mL of NaSO x 27.5C) + (mL of NaClO x 23.0C)} 50 {(50mL {(40mL {(30mL {(20mL {(10mL {( 0mL x x x x x x 27.5C) 27.5C) 27.5C) 27.5C) 27.5C) 27.5C) + + + + + + ( 0mL (10mL (20mL (30mL (40mL (50mL x x x x x x 23.0C)} 23.0C)} 23.0C)} 23.0C)} 23.0C)} 23.0C)} 50 50 50 50 50 50 = = = = = = 27.5C 26.6C 25.7C 24.8C 23.9C 23.0C

Finding the stoichiometric mole ratio of reactants: A. The point of intersect of the two straight lines of best fit: The point of intersection: X = 4.5 B. The mL ratio of reactants: Reaction 4.5 was not done. However reaction 4 and reaction 5 were done. Reaction 4 was done with 20 ml of Solution B and 30 mL of NaClO. Reaction 5 was done with 10 ml of Solution B and 40 mL of NaClO.
It was then assumed that if a reaction was made between reaction 4 and reaction 5, it would have been done with 15 ml of Solution B and 35 mL of NaClO. Thus, the ml ratio of reactants is 15:35.
