Will an employee who is staying with family, friends, or sharing a hotel/motel room still receive the Per Diem pay? Yes. Regardless of your housing during that time, you will be eligible to receive the pay based on the above charts as long as the transfer is over 50 miles. Is the.State going to provide mileage one way from the old institution to the nev .institution? No. A flat rate Per Diem will be paid. Will the State pay any relocation? No. Will the State also pay any per diem pursuant to the MOD? No. The only per diem available during this process is as listed in the charts above. Can I request a Per Diem/Travel advance? Yes. This would be done through the normal process via your institutional Accounting Office.
