Michinoku Onsen is a must if you want to experience a train line view of the sea of Japan from an open air bath. A truly rare experience when you are less than 10 meters from the train as it passes by the rotenburo.

The warm bath, which is adjacent to the main bath commands an impressive view of the sea of Japan also. I paid 500 yen for day use here.

Below is a giant water wheel that use to be used as a pump for onsen water.. At night time its lit up in blue and red uorescent. I didnt stay here overnight, but this winter if all goes well. This would be an excellent place to take a loved one during winter, or autumn. Or, if you have little time, a day-use is excellent enough. Enjoy
