Scope of Work
[The scope of work should identify key work to be performed. You can break each section using a bold heading. Only go into as much detail as you believe the client might need to make a decision. If a client needs additional technical information, he will ask. In most cases, he does not.] Work Item [Enter a basic description that describes the work to be performed and its objective.] Network Integration Provide an integrated and switched network environment. This allows you to provide more flexible solutions and documentation.
Assumptions
[Assumptions are a way to ensure that you (and the client) are appropriately protected from problems that exist in the client's environment or from the clients inability to provide you with an appropriate workspace or information. All of these factors can lead to extended project time and cost you additional time and money. 1. Issues of confidentiality, client relationships, and discussion regarding proprietary products, services, or relationships, in addition to documents created as part of this consulting relationship, are the property of [Client Name]. 2. Appropriate access to vendors, customers, contacts, and administrative system access will be provided by [Client Name] as required to complete any assigned projects. 3. [Client Name] will provide an office space with Internet access, phone, fax, and copier as needed for project work. 4. Both parties (myself and [Client Name]) will make every effort to ensure timely answers to questions as related to the project engagement.
Authorization
[Client Name] agrees to the scope of work as outlined on the above proposal dated [Date]. [Consultant or Consulting Organization] is directed to proceed with the scheduling as outlined on the proposal. Authorization and commencement of above work requires a signed copy of this proposal and a work initiation payment of $x,xxx made payable to [Consultant or Consulting Organization]. Change orders for work outside of the scope of this agreement will be submitted to a [Client Name] representative (assumed to be [Primary Contact or Authorized Contact) authorized to approve such work. Final payment for all integration labor shall be due no later than the day of completion/day of delivery. This proposal is valid for 30 days from the proposal date. Additional Services
[I try to include additional services that I can provide during or after the initial consulting arrangement. This tells the client that I am available to solve additional business problems and provides the client with some concrete suggestions.] As we move forward, I can assist in the procurement of all necessary hardware or software and provide the talent/staff necessary for the integration work. In addition, per our discussion, I can assist in the [Client Name] stated objective of reaching a paperless office environment. These projects can be discussed as time permits and additional system information is gathered.
