Rules governing use of descriptive statistics will be explored.

Background & purpose of course Course goals, objectives This course aims to introduce the learner to the basic principles and rules governing descriptive statistics and to stimulate a continuing interest in biostatistics. At the completion of this course the learner will be able to: Define basic statistical terms Course requirements & assignments Differentiate between basic sampling methods Classify data Construct the different variations of frequency tables Display data using the various graphical representation methods Explain measurements of central tendency and variability Use the basic methods of data analysis
