Fatma Mohamed provides her biography. She was born in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1990 to a father who worked loading and unloading at a wholesale store and a mother who was a housewife. In 2006, due to the civil war, her family fled Mogadishu and walked 30 km to Afgooye, sleeping under trees for two months before returning to their destroyed home. In 2009, she was arranged to marry Abukar Hamid, a friend of her father's boss, and had a baby boy, but her husband then disappeared. Masked men questioned her about his whereabouts. She is now in Malaysia staying with students with an expired visa, in a difficult situation and seeking help.
