    Aboriginal Students Longhouse Lunch

    Inuit Youth and the Nanisiniq: Arviat History Project


    To build connections between students and faculty of the First Nations Longhouse, the UBC School of Social Work, and Inuit youth, we welcome you to join us for lunch and a discussion of the participatory action research project involving Inuit youth from Arviat, Nunavut. We will be showing three short lms made by the youth, including a music video made with their Elder, Martha Okotala. Director of SOSW, Tim Stainton and primary investigator of the Nanisiniq Project, Frank Tester will be in attendance to speak about how the project started and where it is going.

    When: Tuesday, November 8th, 12:30PM- 1:30PM Where: First Nations Longhouse, UBC Point Grey All are welcome!
