The fight against corruption has now graduated to the next level. India Against Corruption Karnataka invites all volunteers, supporters, media for a solidarity march in Bengaluru on October 19th (Wednesday) at 6:30 PM. The march will start at the State Bank of Mysore Circle (KG Road) and end at the Raj Bhavan where we intend to submit a memorandum to the Honorable Governor of Karnataka. The campaign against corruption has reached a critical phase. Opponents to an effective and strong anti-corruption bill and system are looking for ways to derail the peoples movement, led by Shri Anna Hazare and others. The singular goal of the campaign is to ensure the passage of the Jan Lokpal Bill by the upcoming winter session. The movement in Bangalore has been unified towards this goal and the march will signify the solidarity we have with the national campaign. IAC, Bengaluru anticipates that this fight against corruption will not be easy and solicits the support of every citizen to join in. Prithvi Reddy, Co-ordinator for IAC Karnataka and member of IAC Core Committee, said Some people are determined to see that our country does not get a strong effective lokpal bill and are trying every possible method to put brakes on our campaign and destroy our unity. We will not be deterred by this by any means Appealed Kundan Singh, IAC volunteer, We want all citizens to participate in this. We must stand together and not rest until effective anti corruption system is established. Our united efforts will ensure the creation of a strong Lokpal.
