We advise and support Filipinos and have been working with hundreds of care workers affected by many of the problems in the industry and immigration system. The research was based on detailed interviews with Senior Care Workers affected by the important changes in immigration practices since 2007, and we are using the outcome of the research for these briefings. The briefings cover:

The need for migrant senior care workers The problems faced by Senior Care Workers due to changes in work visa requirements. The effects on individuals and families Why settled status for care workers is vital to our care industry

I hope they will give considerations to people like me who have lost everything due to changes of these policies and what I have contributed in this country. (1)

Our voice needed to be heard because they do not know these things are happening. We are not illegal workers, we are legal workers, paying our taxes, providing services, and we should raise our voices to be treated fairly. (2)

Actually migrants boost the UK economically, financially and more so contribute with their health and social care aspect of their society. What does the UK give back in return? Nothing, we have no benefits, no importance and support. (11)

It is really unfair, they said they need us and we got the impression that they need migrant workers. (10)
