    THE DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES OF EDUCATION SYSTEM BETWEEN INDONESIA AND MALAYSIA

    Indonesia and Malaysia are similar in that they have to wear uniform when theyre in Elementary, Junior and High school. In the same way, Indonesia and Malaysia students have similar subjects. Both Indonesia and Malaysia students are taught in the same ways with the teachers. In addition, the school year also has similarity that starts in July.

    Indonesia education system is different from Malaysia. The education system in Indonesia does not apply automatic transision in every level of education. Because, each level of education is required to follow the National Examinition before proceeding to the next level. For example,

    Junior High School students should follow the UN before proceeding to Senior High School. In contrast, education system in Malaysia, where the PSA results are not decisive, because every child should continue to the form one. Therefore, Malaysia has a preparation to enter the college, called the A level and matriculation study programs. Whereas, Indonesia students who will proceed to the universities have to follow the SPMB.
