The Wisconsin Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism Invites you to:

Street Design For Living

Speaker: Ken Voigt, PE,
UW Milwaukee Adjunct Professor of Engineering, Senior Transportation Engineer at Ayres Associates, and President of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism
Streets are too often designed for one purpose: moving the maximum number of cars in the shortest possible period of time. But what would streets look like if they accommodated people of all ages and abilities, promoted healthy urban living, social interaction and business, as well as the movement of people and goods and regeneration of the environment? How will the form and function of streets change as we adopt new technologies? Join the Wisconsin Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism for a look at innovative street design techniques that are being implemented today, and to look forward at what street design could be in the future.
