THE BANK BUMIPUTRA SCAM

There was this staff in Bank Bumiputra during

the BOOM YEARS of 1990’s who came with this BRIGHT IDEA. He

thought that if he could PROGRAM JUST 1 LINE of

CODE on the COMPUTER and he can become a

MILLIONAIRE.
The idea was to TAKE just ONE SEN which is the

equivalent of the INDIAN PAISA not even a RINGGIT

which is the equivalent of the RUPEE

from every customers BANK ACCOUNT

every MONTH.

That too it was from the INTEREST ACCOUNT he planned

to take not even from the PRINCIPAL.

Basically what he figured out was no CUSTOMER checks whether

they got 11 SENS of INTEREST or 12 SENS also the CUSTOMER
might feel ASHAMED to come and FIGHT for just ONE SEN.

He CALCULATED was if you take ONE SEN and say we have 10

Million Accounts then that will be 100000 RINGITT every Month. In 10
Months he could be a Millionaire.
So the PROGRAM ran WELL and as per his CALCULATIONS it went
smoothly. This is Dr. Mahathir’s Malaysia there is no SUSPENSE

ACCOUNT only PROFIT and

LOSS.

But it so happened as it always does with MONEY you have a

NEED to SPEND. As a Man your first love is not even your WIFE
but a CAR.

So he went to the KULA LUMPUR CAR SHOW

That turned out to be his OWN TRAP- .

His MANAGER also happened to be there and when

he saw his SUBORDINATE trying to buy a CAR that

seems DOUBLE his own ANNUAL SALARY it rang ALARM BELLS in

his MIND .

He went through all his ACTIVITIES and FIGURED out that his

SUBORDINATE had CREATED DUMMY ACCOUNT to which

he TRANSFERRED the FUNDS and from which he

WITHDREW CASH .
SO the FRAUDSTER was CAUGHT and bought to BOOKS

This is TRUE STORY it happened when I was LIVING and

STUDYING in MALAYSIA. In fact I was explaining to my ACCA
Director Mr. Teo.E.Singh and my Law lecturer Mrs. Sadana Nair
STEP by STEP how this SCAM took place. They were
IMPRESSED and knew I would be a TOP MANAGEMENT MAN

some day.
MORAL of the STORY: The difference between MALAYSIA and INDIA
is this. In MALAYSIA not that such SCAMS don’t take PLACE-but if
you are CAUGHT you are FINISHED.

But in INDIA we justify such CRIMES without any SHAME like what

happens INSIDE BANKS like these

ACCEPT ALL BLESSINGS IRRESPECTIVE OF RACE CREED OR
COLOR AS LONG AS THE COLOR IS GREEN AS IN THE CASE OF

MONEY…….

THEY WILL ALSO KNOW FOR BELIEVING SUCH LEVANTINE

PROVERBS WHERE SUCH PEOPLE END UP

IN LIFE .
