Windows Colour Scheme

Introduction
Windows offers several high contrast colour schemes which may be useful for users with vision
impairments or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

Changing the colour scheme

1. Right click anywhere on your desk top


and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Appearance tab.

2. Select one of the High Contrast


options from the ‘Color Scheme’
drop-down menu (see figure 1).

3. Click Apply then OK.

4. Figure 2 shows a colour scheme as


amended to ‘High Contrast #1’.
