    The devlopement of operating system related of generation of computer . the history of operating system laid down with the following generation. 1st generation In this generation using of vaccume tube to run the system for performing of airthematic& logical expression. So to run the system the operating system OS_2 was implemented. This is the CUI & single user O.S.. 2ndgeneration. In this generation used transistor as a main component instead of vaccume tube .In this generation the VMC(virtual machin computing ) O.S. 3rdgeneration.. In fact the real generation of computer using integretad circuit as main component . the user information passes from one medium to another medium in minimum periode .In this generation the user friendly & popular O.S .DOS & unix introduced . introducing these two is suppose network architecture& user reliable application could be developed. .WHAT DO U MEAN BY OPERATING SYSTEM? Ans.. A software is a collection of of a progamme by which system & user directly on individual interact with it ,the software are classify into 2 types.. 1.System software 2. Application software. *System software . This is a collection of programmes which is directory related to system .the features of system softwares are a.control the hardware system

    b.enhance the capacity of starting of the system. c.The responsible to run the application programme. d.keep interact with user &system . *Application software . This type of computer software are by the user. for the user & of the the user . this is not related to controlling of system & its peripheral. The softwares are following types: a. System control software b. System devlopement software c. System usage software.
