Jim Collins: Good to Great

Good is the enemy of great.
And that is one of the key reasons why we have so little that becomes great. We dont have great schools, principally because we have good schools. We dont have great government, principally because we have good government. Few people attain great lives, in large part because it is just so easy to settle for a good life.

William A Ward

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.

Rapid Change is the only constant

To bear defeat with dignity, to accept criticism with poise, to receive honors with humility - these are marks of maturity and graciousness

Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work.
