AT&T Enhances Mobile Broadband Network in Durango 6 May 2011 Economics Week ECOWEK 2011 MAY 6 - (VerticalNews.com) -- Former Alltel customers joining AT&T* are seeing a change as AT&T expanded its service in Colorado.(1) Beginning April 10, AT&T rebranded Alltel to AT&T in Durango and throughout La Plata County and began introducing AT&T's exciting lineup of products and services to these customers. "With the Alltel transition, AT&T has more than doubled our coverage area in Colorado. Numerous rural communities in the state will now have access to AT&T's 3G wireless network enabling consumers and business to use wireless broadband," said Bill Soards, president of AT&T Colorado. Since its acquisition of the Alltel wireless assets in Colorado, AT&T has invested significantly to transition the former Alltel network infrastructure to AT&T. Former Alltel customers across the state now have access to the nation's fastest mobile broadband network and to AT&T's broad portfolio of mobile devices.
