Creation

His Word/Command Gives Form(Ps. 33:6 & 9, 148:5)

His Breath/Spirit Gives Life (Ps. 33:6, 104:30, Gen. 2:7, Job 33:4, John 20:22)

Control

He commands the waters (Ps. 33:7, 104:6-9; Gen. 1:9,10; Job 26:10; 38:8-11;
Prov. 8:29; Jer 5:22, Ex. 15:8; Josh. 3:13,16; Hab. 3:15

All Creation Does/or Should/Will Stand in Awe of Him (Ps. 33:8, 22:27; 96:9,10;
Jer. 10:7-12; Dan. 6:25,26; Rev. 14:6,7; 15:4)

Do all men now? No

He sees/knows all, both inside & out (Ps. 33:13-15)

Our Hope

His Power & Control Should Inspire Us to put our hope in Him (e.g. Like
Hezekiah, 2 Kings 19:15-19, see also Ps. 20:7, 2 Chron. 7:14)

The word “hope” means “to cast one’s cares on another.” In this case it means that
we should throw ourselves upon the unfailing love of God.

While Christian principles undergird the foundations of our country, there are
more Christians per capita in Uganda today than there are in the United States.
Our country’s a mission field; the largest one in the English-speaking world!

French writer Alexis de Tocqueville, after visiting America in 1831, said, "I
sought for the greatness of the United States in her commodious harbors, her
ample rivers, her fertile fields, and boundless forests--and it was not there. I
sought for it in her rich mines, her vast world commerce, her public school
system, and in her institutions of higher learning--and it was not there. I looked
for it in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution—and it was not
there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame
with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is
great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America
will cease to be great!"
Any plan of man that is not in concert with God’s plan, will ultimately fail.

By contrast, His plan cannot be thwarted, His prophecies/promises will be

fulfilled (Ps. 33:11, Job 23:13; Prov. 19:21; Isa. 14:24,27; 46:10; Lam.
3:37; Ezek. 38:10-23; Dan. 4:37; Acts 4:27,28; Eph. 1:11)
