llustrious son of an illustrious father, well known Islamic Scholar Maulana Anzar Shah Kashmiri passed away on Saturday (26/04/08) at the age of 81. Janazah Salaah was held in Deoband.

? of one of the great giants of knowledge and Being the son

scholarship, he virtually grew up in the lap of learning. He studied under famous teachers such as Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madani (R), Allamah Ebrahim Balyawi (R), Qari Muhammad Tayyib (R) and others.

? After completing his studies, he began lecturing at the world

renowned DARUL ULOOM DEOBAND and taught various disciplines in which he was a master. Maulana Anzar Shah Kashmiri (R) dedicated his whole life as an Islamic Scholar. He had written several books. His teaching career spanned some 60 years in which he taught 1000's of students. Many of the eminent South African Ulama were his students. He also set up an Islamic institute, Jamia Anwar, in memory of his father.

? May Allah forgive him and illuminate his grave and grant him the
highest stations in Jannah. May He grant Sabr to the family, friends, associates & students of Maulana.
