We have indeed hit the ground running and I am excited about the programs and activities that are being planned for the year. Let us show support by making a commitment to attend chapter programs whenever possible. With just our regular day to days we all get so busy, but we should all have a Soror Buddy to remind us of upcoming events! I am so extremely proud of our progress of Back to Delta thus far and look forward to whats next! We started the Sorority year off with getting back to Service and Sisterhood! On Saturday, Sept. 24th the Chapter volunteered at the YMCA Peace Gardens located in Blacksburg. On Oct. 16th we walked 3 miles for the American Heart Association! Thank you PPD for putting the team together and to everyone who helped to rise the funds for such a great cause! We begin walking for 2013 by 2013 on September 27th! What a great workout! I really enjoyed the 3 miles and getting to Work it Out with my sisters! We have also had a great fundraiser at Moes and we are looking to do more! I cannot begin to tell you all the fun we had during our Sisterhood Weekend at my home! I feel I have gotten to know you all so much better in just two days. I hope we continue to support programs like

Sorors...have you heard about the Sisterhood Weekend and all the surprises?! Well let me share a few: We started the night with a great selection of food brought by all Sorors attending. Soror Ellis even made us an old school mix CD that brought back some great memories and moves we forgot we had. Next in line was Taboo (the 2011 version) and I must say we all are very competitive at this game! Did you know Keyana has greasy elbows (according to Jessica)?!? Keyana, Lauren H. and I then supervised and taught the girls some party hops we remembered from undergrad! This was probably the most entertaining part of the night as Sorors hopped around the living room showing us their moves! The night settled down and we got a surprise visit from Mr. Qwanell Que Mosley formally of the group Day 26. He even gave us a little sample of his performance earlier! We finally decided it was bed time around 4 AM. The next morning started with pancakes, eggs, turkey sausage and bacon (courtesy of Soror Prez) and the drive to Roanoke. We were treated to a free trip to the Taubman Museum of Art downtown Roanoke and ended the day with Thelmas Chicken and Waffles! Soror Ellis lead us in a reflective moment of what we enjoyed most about the weekend. Thank you Soror Ellis and Keitt for all your work on this event! It was a great time fully of memories I will not forget!

Sister, Please Hold My Hand Sister, please hold my hand, As we journey through this land Together we stand, together we will fall No matter what, God will keep us together. That will be the best of all
Sister, please hold my hand, Because without you I can't stand For we were put on this earth for a reason To go through every good and bad season Sister, please hold my hand, As our strength, together, builds each other to become strong So that our love for each other will last long
