R. 27.0(d) On November 4, 2011, the American Federation of Government Employees, et al filed a brief as amici curiae. The brief is non-compliant because it does not contain the statement required by Fed. R. App. P. 29(c)(5). The statement must indicate whether: (A) A party's counsel authored the brief in whole or in part; (B) a party or a party's counsel contributed money that was intended to fund preparing or submitting the brief; and (C) a person -- other than the amici curiae, its members or its counsel -- contributed money that was intended to fund preparing or submitting the brief and, if so, identifies each such person. In addition, the brief must indicate the source of its authority to file required by Fed. R. App. P. 29(c)(3). Further, the brief must contain a certificate of compliance indicating the number of words in the brief. See Fed. R. App. P. 28(a)(11) and 32(a)(7)(C). Finally, all filings must be accompanied by a certificate of service required by Fed. R. App. P. 25(d)(1)(B). A corrected amicus brief must be filed no later than November 14, 2011.
