SSA School Sanitation Training Programme Identifying Best Practicing Model Schools Reg. *** ** As you are aware that the Honble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has directed the Education departments and other departments concerned to immediately focus on improvement in school sanitation. Considering the above situation, it is vital to create awareness and build the capacity of HMs, teachers and students on the following: 1. Need for good sanitation and Personal hygiene 2. Safe and clean drinking water facility 3. Clean, well maintained toilets 4. Separate urinals and toilets for girls and boys 5. Wise water management 6. Solid waste management 7. Eco- friendly toilets 8. Hand wash facilities 9. Personal Hygiene practice 10. Overall environmental management Towards this SSA is now planned for Master Resource Persons training to be conducted in the month of November at Krishnagiri. It is planned to showcase the best practicing schools with the above mentioned ratings during district level training as exposure visit.
