    Blogging in Term 1 - Protocol

    31 January - Teacher Only Session

    We decided:

    o Mark is our chief administrator/support person /motivator for


    our school blog.

    o Our blog would be centered around our theme: Up, Up and


    Away with a focus on self-management.

    o To keep our blog in-house, by encouraging inter-class


    collaboration but not promoting it to the wider community.

    o When referring to children we would use only their first names


    and the initial of their surname

    o All comments must be verified by Mark before being


    published on our blog

    o Teachers and senior blogging experts (to be trained) can make


    postings. All postings should be spell-checked and edited by
    a teacher.

    o All classes should make at least two postings within a term


    and make comments on other class postings

    o To evaluate our blogging experience at the end of term 1 and


    decide how else we might use this tool to improve student
    outcomes.
