    Task Sheet 1 Details needed for an application letter

    These are things we expect to find about an applicant for a certain position with a company. How quickly can you put together the headings and the questions which explain them? Work in pairs. Would you add any other headings and questions?

    Present position Qualifications/Education

    What work experience do you have? Do you speak any foreign languages? Where did you work before?

    Work experience

    Have you got any other skills apart from the basic requirements for the job? Have you worked in this field before? What do you do at present?

    Interests Have you got a job or are you completing your studies? Additional skills Have you got any hobbies or preferred ways of spending your free time? What qualifications do you have? Have you got a post graduate degree?
