NOVEMBER, 2011 ISSUE 4 as we celebrate the beauty of creation and see the Mas- ter at work painting the landscape of blue skies with billowing clouds, falling leaves of red, green, yellow and orange upon the green and brown grasses. The cotton on the vine or bundled in bales reminds us of our heritage of laboring in the fields. As you read our fourth Made for Missions newsletter, sit back and take in the sites and sounds as Mission Directors and Volunteers are prepar- ing for celebrations and feastings in honor of our Savior!

We loaded the vehicles with bags and bags of apples. What a great time for fun and fellowship!

So excited after hearing of Chad's Internships Program for Christ Central Missions, Cody joined the group of summer interns and extended his stay when making the decision to join the year long intern program. Cody enjoys chess, learning to play the guitar and has de- veloped a great passion and love toward the homeless and needy. Page 6 MADE FOR MISSIONS Several mornings a week, just before dawn, the phone rings and a woman calling is seeking prayer. Mary (not her real name) has walked out of the kingdom of darkness (sin) and into saving faith. Today she is a light of hope in her neighborhood and among her "old friends who now are drawn to her in their times of trouble and affliction.
Without judgment, she hands out hope in Christ to all who are willing to hear. She has learned, and shares, that prayer recharged her spiritual battery when the problems of life had drained all hope.
By twelve Mary was an alcoholic. Her life was filled with depression and broken relationships. But finding and listening to God has transformed her from a hopeless and miserable person to a woman who now praises God and hungers for better understanding of His love for her.
Mary, her husband and her mother are all in poor health due to the years of abusing their bodies. But Marys transformed life is still a witness to her family and friends. Her words of encouragement and hope are spoken to each one that God puts on her path; in the doctors waiting room and the emergency room of the hospital, in line at the market. Where ever she feels His call to share.
Romans 12: 1b-2 "Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

God clearly has His hand on Christ Central Minis- tries and 89.7 WMHK as we partner through the 'Spirit oI Giving and venture to share His love with our neighbors throughout the midlands of South Carolina during this special time of year. Al- though many families are experiencing difficult times, the God we serve is much greater.
In only four weeks, He has raised up hundreds of our neighbors as volunteers and they have agreed to give gifts, time and food. With the adoption of 106 families representing close to 400 people, we do give thanks; however, we are not quite at our half way goal of 240 families!
II you would like to serve as a volunteer in Columbia, adopt a Iamily, or come and celebrate at 'The Party which will culminate all God`s blessings on December 10, 2011, please contact Scooter Scott at 803-231-8394. We will have live entertainment, 89.7 WMHK will fill the air with Christmas music, great food, drinks and fellowship all FREE!
Director Scooter Scott (803) 231-8394 DONATIONS FROM THE HEART "Here mom, this is for the ministry!" It was as simple as that. My youngest son walked into the kitchen, handed me forty dollars of his hard-earned money, and turned and walked out. I wish I could tell you that I immediately used this as a "teachable moment" and relayed, from memory, a bible verse to him about giving; however, all I could muster was a "thanks". For you see, he was teaching me something in that moment. When the Lord places on your heart to give, you simply obey. The Holy Spirit sometimes calls you to act immediately; before the world has had a chance to tell you that you're not making a wise choice with your time or your money. May we all have the simple obedience of a child! UPCOMING WAYS TO GIVE: We are partnering with WHMK 89.7 in the "Spirit of Giving" campaign to have families adopted for Christmas. Please go to their website to adopt a needy family. You and your family can also sign up to volunteer during several shifts during the week of November 28-December 3. Please email Melanie Frink at melaniefrink@hotmail.com for more information about volunteering. Winter is looming around the corner and our children are in need of coats. Please clean out those closets and drop any new or gently used coats by my house at 9 Shoreline Drive in Northeast Columbia or bring them to our new apartment (J3) in Gonzales Gardens during tutoring hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Don't forget to check to check out our website at www.ProsperityProjectSC.org to see the latest "happenings"! Blessings to you all, Director Michelle James (803)318-2497
