US NAVAL SEA CADET CORPS CENTRAL COAST DIVISION

IS HOLDING A TO COME UP WITH A CUSTOM DESIGN FOR OUR UNIT LOGO AND GUIDON

CONTEST

A LOGO is a design symbolizing ones organization. While we use the Sea Cadet LOGO as our overall symbol signifying that we are part of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, we would like to have a LOGO that represents our local unit Central Coast Division. LOGOs are used on stationary, notebooks, T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.

example: GUIDON the significance of the guidon is that it represents the unit and its commanding officer. The guidon is displayed for everyone to see. The guidon is the rallying point for cadets to fall into formation when the order is given. The guidon is a great source of pride for the unit. The size of the guidon is 20H x 27L, and is in the shape of a K, as shown below.

CONTEST RULES: 1. STARTS: Saturday, November 19th , 2011. 2. ENDS: Saturday, December 3rd, 2011. All entries must be in by noon, on Saturday, December 3rd , 2011. 3. WHO CAN SUBMIT AN ENTRY: Central Coast Division Cadets, Central Coast Division Parents, Central Coast Division Officers or Instructors, members of our sponsors American Legion Post 66, SLO SubVets, Central Coast Navy League. 4. Winning entry will be chosen by the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and the Operations Officer of the Central Coast Division, and the Regional Director for Central Coast Division. Ties will be submitted to the Presidents of our Sponsoring Organizations to determine the winner.
