There are two subspecies of white rhino, northern and southern, as well as other species like the Indian and Javan rhinos. The Sumatran rhino is the only surviving representative of the most primitive rhino group. Many rhino species are endangered or extinct, including the northern white rhino which is extinct in the wild but has 6 remaining in captivity, and the Javan rhino which has only around 60 left.

    people hunt rhinos to get its horn because if they sell it the price will be very high. the white rhinos are divided into 2 subspecies the northern and the southern.there are also rhinocerotini species such as the indian and javan rhinos.there is only 1 surviving representative rhino of the most primitive group and that is the sumatran rhinoceros.the wolly rhino of northern europe and asia that already extict is also the member of the primitive group. the southern white rhinoceros population is 14.500 but the northern population is extinct but there is 6 northern rhinos that has been keep. the javan rhino is one of the rarest and the endangered large mammals and now there are only 60 rhinos left in java.
