Timeline For Energy REPORT PROJECTS

Assignment Assignment Description Have your students narrow down an area of interest for their project by reviewing materials provided. For Example: Wind Energy The specific topic the student will be investigating in the project. EXAMPLE: All About Windmills, Past and Present This is the main part of the project. This is the meat of what you are doing. This is the report. This is a report that collects all the written aspects of the topic being researched. The history of the topic. Definitions of all important words and concepts that describe the topic. Answers to all questions the student might have. Mathematical formulas, if any, that are needed to describe topic. The Bibliography is a list of the sources that will be used to answer the research questions. Source Requirement: at least 3 sources. Please remind your students that GOOGLE IS NOT A REFERENCE. Students need to reference where they go to from their Google Search. THIS IS REQUIRED. Student must make a model, or have drawings of their topic displayed. Other media can be used such as audio, video or photography. Examples: Build a model windmill. Gather pictures of windmills. Create a graph of energy output of windmills in various countries. Create a map with locations of windmills in the United States. This is a paragraph stating what the student learned. It is a reflection on the experience. For example: By doing this project I learned that windmills are used all over the world to produce electricity. I learned that wind energy does not produce pollution and is a free source of energy because the wind blows all the time. At first I didnt want to do this project but once I got started I am so into wind energy I want to learn more!
