Registering with the General Medical Council

Go to www.gmc-uk.org

Click on the link for Registration and Licensing.

Click on the page link for Apply for registration with a licence to practice...

Step 4

Select I am not currently registered and I want to apply.

Step 5

Your Medical School

Please select the appropriate option depending on the country you gained your medical qualication If you gained your qualication within the EEA.

Step 6

Select the appropriate nationality option, if within European Economic Area.

Step 7

Please select whether you have attended an internship.

Once chosen, this will explain the process of applying for the GMC and what it includes. There will be information about the Registration fees, the documents required and your relevant work experience. (Depending on what option you choose the pages will vary, please see below). Option One: I have not completed an internship 1- 12 Pages. Option Two: I have completed an internship(outside the UK) 1-13 Pages.

Once you have read through all the pages. It will bring you to the above page. Please click on the icon shown and follow the steps for setting up your account and this will start the Application process.
